There's a really nice 20 min promenade walk to a busier part of Lapad with cafes, restaurants, a busy sandy beach and supermarket. Outside the hotel is a bus into old Dubrovnik city which runs every 10 minutes and is just €2 per person each way. Buses are punctual and clean - we could learn a lot in the UK!
